Volunteer Info & Sign Up

We thank you for your interest in helping people explore lifestyles of wellness and sustainability.  The success and sustainability of this Event depends upon volunteers who are interested in contributing their time, skills and enthusiasm.

Work  8-10 hrs. and receive a weekend pass which includes admission to all activities all weekend, including  both Evening Concerts, a Staff T-Shirt and the satisfaction of helping us Celebrate Sustainable Santa Fe.

Volunteers are required to attend an orientation Fri. July 17th at 6:30 pm at the Santa Fe Convention Center for approx. 1 hour.   Please plan to check-in for you shift at least 10 min. early so that we can have smooth shift transitions.

When there are a choice of shifts, we prefer that you do one shift each day (one 4-5 hr. shift on Sat. and one 4-5 hr. shift on Sun.) We will do our best to accomodate your preferences, although shifts will be assigned on a first come/first serve basis.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS AND SHIFT TIMES

SET-UP: FRI. JULY 17

EXHIBITOR CHECK IN:
Check in exhibitors, give out credentials and answer questions. Must be organized, efficient, good with people, able to be on feet for long periods of time.

Shifts: (both shifts required)
Fri. 12noon – 8:00 pm  
Sat.: 7:00 am – 9:00 am   

RUNNERS:
Help with venue and exhibitor set-up, run errands.  Must have vehicle, be familiar with Santa Fe, be able to lift heavy loads and be quick on your feet.

Shifts: (both shifts required)
Fri. 12noon – 8:00 pm    
Sat.: 7:00 am – 9:00 am  

DURING EVENT: SAT. & SUN. JULY 18-19

BOX OFFICE SUPPORT:
Assist Box Office Team as needed: ticket/wristband exchange, crowd control etc.  Be friendly and knowledgable with good communication skills and happy to assist people. Able to be on feet for long periods of time.

Available Shifts: 2 shifts required
Sat. 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Sat. 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm
 
Sun: 9:30 am – 2:30 pm   
Sun. 2:30 pm – 7:00 pm

GREETERS/HOSTS:
Be friendly and knowledgable with good communication skills and happy to assist people.
Able to be on feet for long periods of time.

Available Shifts: 2 shifts required

Sat. 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm
 
Sun: 9:30 am – 2:30 pm   
Sun. 2:30 pm – 7:00 pm

SUSTAINABLE SANTA FE DREAM TEAM-VOLUNTEER SECURITY:
Monitor entrance/exit doors, perimeter fences,  check wristbands, answer  questions and give directions.  May be on feet for long periods of time.

Most positions are outside where you will be able to see and/or hear Main Stage presentations and music (Exception: Tesuque VIP Room Entrance. Indoors-you will not be able to see or hear Main Stage. Please make a note if you do NOT want to be scheduled at this position.)

Shade/covering not available at all positions. Please make a note if this will be a problem for you.

Must be trustworthy, courteous and be willing to be assertive with people who are trying to sneak in or who are otherwise breaking the rules.

Must be available for any combination of 2 shifts.
Available Dream Team Shifts are:
Sat. 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Sat. 2:00 pm – 7:00pm
Sat.  5:00pm – 9:00pm

Sun: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm    
Sun. 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Sun. 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm


CLASSROOM MONITORS:
•    Have basic knowledge of Power Point and DVD presentations w/ LCD Projectors or willingness  to learn (non-technophobic)
•    Insure that classes start and end on time.
•    Communicate with and assist Presenter with Audio/Visual needs.
•    Straighten out classrooms between classes.
•    Monitor classroom at all times during  shift.
•    Must be organized, efficient, punctual
•    Work well under deadlines

Sat. 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Sat. 1:30 pm – 7:00 pm
 
Sun: 10:30 am – 3:00 pm  
Sun. 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

GREEN TEAM:
Monitor Eco-Cafe/Beer Garden and Main Stage Courtyard for recycling, compost and trash to assure that waste is going into the proper receptacles.   Clean and straighten out dining and drinking areas as needed.  Must be 21 yrs. of age.

Available Shifts: 2 Shifts required
Sat. 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sat. 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm
 
Sun: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm  
Sun. 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm

FLOATERS:
Floaters are needed to fill in various  other volunteer positions if a scheduled volunteer is a no-show or late and/or additional support is needed for various positions.  Must be flexible, verstatile, quick learner and have cell phone.
