ENGAGE NEW MEXICO

The mission of World Wellness is to inspire, empower, educate and connect people so that they can create happier, healthier, and more sustainable lives for themselves, their families, and their communities by producing compelling live consumer events that bring people together to interact with the small businesses and organizations that offer sustainable lifestyle solutions.
Its signature event, World Wellness Weekend, is one of the first consumer shows to expand the
traditional definitions of “wellness” and “sustainability” into a
synchronistic whole by featuring speakers, products and services in its
program that are focused on health, the environment, social justice,
personal development and sustainable living. Attendees emerge not only connected to others in their community, but also educated,
inspired and empowered to take action during this critical time of
global change. World Wellness Weekend has featured such renowned authors, speakers and artists as Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, Michael Franti, Robert Kennedy Jr., Martin Luther King III, Dr. Jean Houston, Mark Victor Hansen, Marci Shimoff, T.Harv Eker, Joe Vitale, John Gray and Bill Phillips.
As an interactive event, World Wellness hosts a vibrant Expo with over 125 booths and an extraordinary educational opportunity by offering over 40 classes, presentations and workshops.
Attendees are invited to sample organic
foods, beverages and nutritional products; enjoy a mini-massage, foot bath, acupuncture or
other healing treatments; relax using meditation techniques and tools;
learn about solar energy and green building techniques; watch healthy
cooking demos; shop for handcrafted, local and Fair Trade products;
discuss concerns with thought leaders in the field; connect with
like-minded people in the community and much more. Music, film and
other special events help create a festive, thought provoking, and
positive atmosphere that can be enjoyed by all. In 2009, World Wellness will join forces with the founders of AgeNation and the State of New Mexico to create a bold and fresh new event, ENGAGE NEW MEXICO. ENGAGE NM will focus on the concerns and interests of people in their second half of life. ENGAGE NM will be launched April 2-5 with a 2 day private executive summit "Navigating the Future" followed by a weekend public event that will include an Expo, classes, speakers and a gala charity/entertainment event "Celebrate Life" that will feature some of New Mexico's best known celebrities. In four years WWW has expanded from it’s original Chamber of Commerce sponsored community event in the producer's hometown of Ashland, Oregon (population 20,000) to hosting 9 events in 4 major cities including Albuquerque NM, Denver CO, San Jose CA and Austin, TX.
