"The closest thing to Bob Marley & the Wailers
and Peter Tosh anyone will ever get again!"

-Ras Knowsmore, Irie World Times

ArcosantiCelebrate Sustainable Santa Fe is honored to present Santa Fe icon, Paolo Soleri, speaking about  his work of “arcology”: architecture coherent with ecology.  Soleri, who just celebrated his 90th birthday in June, is the designer for Santa Fe’s famous Paolo Soleri Amphitheater.  He is also the founder and designer of Arcosanti-a 5000 person experimental town under construction in central Arizona designed to be an alternative to urban sprawl.

John Robbins

The Celebration is also happy to present food activist,  John Robbins, the bestselling author of Diet for a New America, The Food Revolution and Healthy at 100.  Robbins is the only son of the founder of the Baskin-Robbins ice cream empire who walked away from it's fortunes to discover the deeper American Dream of wellness and sustainability. His presentations about healthy and socially responsible eating have changed thousands of lives around the world.

Amory Lovins, co-founder of the Rocky Mountain Institute, author of Natural Capitalism and 28 other books, has been praised by Newsweek magazine as "one of the Western world's most influential energy thinkers" will present his perspective of sustainability.

America's #1 Populist,  Jim Hightower, national radio commentator and author of Swim Against the Current-Even a Dead Fish Can Go With the Flow and the NY Times Bestseller Thieves in High Places will entertain and educate with his fiery and funny presentation.

Other speakers and entertainment includes the powerful and dynamic transformational expert,  Niurka, whose high energy presentation will unite hearts and minds to create peace and prosperity. She will share her story of going from being a homeless teen drop-out to celebrated CEO.

The audience will be inspired into action by Aqeela Sherrills, peacemaker, community organizer, co-founder of The Forgiveness Project, The Community Self-Determination Institute and also Amer-I-Can which Aqeela founded with former NFL football star, Jim Brown. Aqeela may be best know for brokering a peace treaty between rival Los Angeles gangs, the Bloods and the Crips.

On Sat. morning, Opening Ceremonies will be conducted by the founding director of HAMAATSA, Larry Littlebird.  A Pueblo Indian, Larry has worked extensively over the last 35 years as a corporate trainer, executive coach and executive director, education specialist and national speaker.  Camilla Bustamante, Director of the Environmental Science Degree Programs at Northern New Mexico College will open up the day on Sunday.  The organic progressive, hip hop reggae music with RUBIXZU and the soulful sounds of Paul Rivers Bailey, will keep the energy moving.

EXPO: EXPLORING LIFESTYLES OF WELLNESS & SUSTAINABILITY
in NORTHERN NEW MEXICO

Visitors to the Expo can discover products, services and ideas that can help them create happier, healthier and more sustainable lives at over 120 booths.  Test drive the new Toyota Prius, courtesy of Beaver Toyota, receive a relaxing mini-massage, discuss green building techniques, learn permaculture gardening techniques, experience acupuncture, sample nutritional drinks, learn how to convert to solar energy, shop for organic, local and freetrade goods, discuss concerns with local professionals, and eat, drink and be merry in our eco-friendly cafe' with Santa Fe Brewing and other local establishments.   Attendees will also be able to choose from 50 free classes over the weekend to gain more in depth knowledge about various topics  that cultivate sustainability - from the personal to the planetary.
